Madrid

Madrid was the first city on our route through Southern Spain. Unfortunately, our crit Christi, was a little under the weather (well a lot really) so our first day was really just us getting to explore what we wanted. So, after Gisela and I unpacked we went and had lunch with Felipe and Billy at this great traditional Spanish restaurant right around the corner from our hotel. (which was a beautiful 4 star hotel right in the city center.) After that we walked to a couple museums and did our souvenir shopping.

Day 1: Exploring

The second day Christi was feeling better and we did more sight-seeing. The next 2 days we went to the Palace Grounds, another museum (where I saw Picasso's Guernica painting..... truely amazing. It was a surreal moment), Plaza Mayor, and of course......the night life!
